The Attic Theatre
Located at Cox’s Yard in Stratford Upon Avon. The Attic Theatre is ‘Stratford’s Best Kept Secret’.
A beautiful Victorian timber framed building situated above The Bancroft Tearooms and Riverside Coffee Shop.
Home to Tread the Boards Theatre Company, this cosy theatre can seat up to 90 people and has housed some wonderful productions since Tread the Boards arrival in 2009.

This theatre is quickly becoming known as the Number One Fringe Theatre in Stratford, for not only Tread the Boards productions, but has proudly welcomed Playbox Theatre who perform regularly at The Attic as well as running workshops in the rehearsal rooms.

Tread the Boards Theatre Company present their fun and exciting production where the audience are in control. It’s Shakespeare on request. Whatever you want to see our actors will perform it. This show is different every time. Presented for The Stratford Fringe Festival.

Zero Culture Theatre Company present the story of the young Maharaja who is deposed from his throne and comes to Britain and becomes a favourite of Queen Victoria. This production is presented for The Stratford Fringe Festival.

The Ghost of William Shakespeare 28th May – 5th June 3.30pm
Tread the Boards Theatre Company present this new piece of writing by award winning writer Den Stevenson. As we meet William he talks very openly about his life and the highs of his success in London and the lows of losing his only son Hamnet. This production is presented for The Stratford Fringe Festival.

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde 20th – 24th July 7.00pm
Tread the Boards Theatre Company present the return of this sell out production from last year. Dr Henry Jekyll discovers the dual nature of man and releases Edward Hyde a violent, emotional and intense creature pent on surviving and killing anyone who stands in his way. Full of scares along the way. This production is playing at the Attic before going to the Camden Fringe Festival.

Tread the Boards Theatre Company present George Bernard Shaw’s classic that inspired the musical My Fair Lady. Eliza Doolittle is a flower girl with aspirations of one day becoming a lady. And her dream is realised when Henry Higgins along with Colonel Pickering pick Eliza out of the gutter and teach her to be a Lady.
